In This Land - Issue 4: Seattle Winter - Film Photography Zine

$10.00

From the intro:

I had spent the summer shooting a Chamonix 45F-2, but felt almost zero connection to it. By the end of my shooting season, I simply wasn't looking forward to the next if it included the Chamonix. So I decided to go through a sort of boot camp with it.

Typically, I take winters off. The cameras are away and I'm making zine or just relaxing. This past winter, however, saw me and the Chamonix trudging out before dawn to photograph the winter in Seattle.

Few people were awake, especially on weekends, and the solitude within the city allowed me to explore places I had never visited.

When I'd venture out, I left every other camera behind. This allowed me to focus completely upon the Chamonix. Through November and December, I shot more and more. January saw my largest output. By February, the job was complete.

Every photo in the zine was taken with the Chamonix 45F-2, except for the final three. My comfort with the Chamonix allowed me to turn to the Graflex Crown Graphic in the hopes of finding that same connection. By late spring, that too was there.

This issues is b/w; 6x7; 56 pages.
